I will continue to update these as I speak to residents about their concerns and what they'd like to see done. Because ultimately I work for you. â€‹â€‹

To help spur more small local business growth:

  • Similar to other communities, I'd like set up a Revolving Loan Program

  • Create a Loan-to-Grant Program

  • Council Member Amick would like to partner with Columbus State to fund start-up business coaching, I support this as well

Fiscal transparency:

  • As a candiate I have already started to make an impact on this

  • After a discussion with Finance Director, Amanda Jackson, the city is in the process of updating their filings with OhioCheckbook.com

  • OhioCheckbook.com is a state resource to provide for residents to access state and local fiscal information

Create opportunities for resident engagement:

  • Created a dedicated phone # for residents to call or text (740-287-WILL)

  • Formalize office space and hours for city council members

  • Bring back Town Hall meetings with residents

  • Reinstitute ute Community Coffee style events

My Community Plan action items:

  • Strengthen our multi family and development standards

  • Review our zoning and compare it to other municipalities

  • Explore additional programs to divert waste from landfills

  • Conduct policing studies every five years

Ordinances residents have asked to be reviewed:

  • Dog Barking Ordinance

  • Consideration for a Noise Ordinance

  • Consideration for public services to receive consideration in tax abatement agreements

Future community enhancement projects:

  • Safer pedestrian connection from Ashbrook Village to down town

  • Consideration for a 4-way Stop added to the intersection at High St. & Columbus St.

  • Consider intersections with challenging visability

  • Speed study device that is almost invisible to drivers that would reflect more accurate data

My previous experience and knowledge allows me to get to work for you right away.
